　　The “Petite Suite Classique” (Little Classical Suite) has three movements, which describe three quite different moods. The first movement is a martial statement, with a theme in three- quarter time that develops strong rhythmical motives. The second movement features a melody played by the euphoniums. In the middle there, a second theme extends lengthens the first theme. This movement ends with lush harmonies. The final movement is full of joy, and the martial rhythm appears again. A small transition on the dominant creates a welcome tension. The conclusion is majestic and energetic. This composition is best-suited for youth bands and bands at a grade 2-3 level. 收起全文
